Star Wars: Jedi Knights #8 is out today. In 20 years of writing comics, it's one of the single issues I'm most proud of.
An amazing, luminous achievement.
5 years ago today we launched #StarWarsTheHighRepublic w/ LIGHT OF THE JEDI and A TEST OF COURAGE. What an overwhelming, surreal, and incredible journey it’s been. Thank you to all the readers, fans, & creators for joining us on this grand adventure. We still have many more tales to tell!

LETTERING TIP FOR WRITERS: If you want me to letter something, include it with the dialog. I almost never read descriptions. Many lettering scripts don't even INCLUDE descriptions.

Instead of "Panel 1: The monster appears and Debbie screams." make sure you're typing "DEBBIE: AUUUUUUUGH!"

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

For sure, the theatrical experience needs to get much better and be a good bargain proposition for the audience. But theatre owners can’t survive with 2-week windows. We need to fix both ends of the problem.
Call me cranky but until going to a movie doesn’t make you want to throttle society as a whole I understand why so many people prefer to wait for home release. It’s too expensive, understaffed, rude patrons and bad movies. Maybe the studios need to open their own theaters again?

This will kill theatrical. Full stop.
Netflix is reportedly interested in giving a 17-day theatrical window for Warner Bros films once they acquire the studio.

No. I can't write to music of any kind.
@marcguggenheim.bsky.social any jam tracks or Star Wars playlists you used when writing The Banished and the Jedi Knights series?

How we beat back the corporate takeover of America:

1. Break up corporate monopolies
2. Continue building union power
3. End Citizens United and get big money out of politics

Let’s keep working to unrig the system.

Can confirm.
I made it 30 minutes into the Star Wars Holiday Special, and I have to say: however disappointed you have ever been in a Star Wars, it can't even compare to what it must've been like to be a kid in 1978, excited to watch the first new Star Wars since the original movie, and getting... that.

What Weiss has done to CBS and 60 Minutes alone should be reason enough to fight against and oppose the Ellisons and Paramount buying Warner Bros. Discovery.

There’s no power on Earth that can convince me Ro Khanna wasn’t named after a Jedi.
Rep. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie tell CBS they're considering bringing inherent contempt charges against Pam Bondi for failing to release all of the Epstein files.

If you think switching which corporate owned legacy media outlet you consume is the solution, you don't really understand how deep the problem is. It's not just ABS, CBS, WaPo or the LA Times. It's the system in which they work.

The only solution is to support pro-democracy independent media.

FWIW, I think this is one of those rare instances where Blanche is being truthful.

No really. I’m sure Blanche told Maxwell that if she didn’t take the deal he was offering — exoneration of Trump in exchange for minimum security — she’d befall the same fate as Epstein. See? Safety!
Blanche says Maxwell was transferred for her safety because she received numerous threats. I’m sorry, do you move someone to LOWER security in those instances?
WELKER: Why was Ghislaine Maxwell moved just days after you interviewed her?

BLANCHE: That's a Bureau of Prisons security issue that I will not talk about

WELKER: Did you have anything to do with it?

BLANCHE: I am responsible for the Bureau of Prisons, so every decision they make lands on my desk
