We got on the phone with one of the registered child sex offenders who submitted testimony against Illinois' homeschool bill. This is our conversation.
A Registered Sex Offender Explains His Opposition to Homeschool Regulation
"I think it really complicates issues, and I don’t feel like that justifies the extreme hardship it would put on my family if we weren’t allowed to homeschool."

Thank you Tess and Jonah for going to the UN SRSG on Violence Against Children event and advocating for the rights of homeschooled children. Super important work 👏
World Childhood Foundation’s support is critical to our work; they make our training programs for child welfare professionals in addressing abuse & neglect in homeschool settings possible! We were grateful to meet with some of their team and attend the UN SRSG on Violence Against Children’s event.

Financial literacy classes for the poor implies that poverty is their fault.

They don’t need classes. They need finances!
