This was the intended outcome of the abortion ban.
Pregnancy became far more dangerous in Texas after the state banned abortion, according to ProPublica’s first-of-its-kind analysis, which found the sepsis rate for women hospitalized as they miscarried in the 2nd trimester shot up by more than 50%.

ProPublica’s first-of-its-kind analysis is the most detailed look yet into a rise in life-threatening complications for women experiencing pregnancy loss under Texas’ abortion ban.

What else do you call warehouses full of abducted human beings concentrated together in unsanitary conditions without access to sufficient food, water, or medical attention?

If you don't like your concentration camps being called concentration camps then stop operating concentration camps.
I just heard someone say on TV that use of the term "concentration camps" to describe ICE facilities was "very strong language."
I think ICE's concentration camps are very strong abuses of human rights.

University of Texas Austin announced it was closing its American Studies Department just as Harper attacked one of the few foundations left willing to fund American studies research
In the middle of a once-in-a-generation attack on academia and the humanities by the right in the US, as people are losing funding and jobs, and we don't even know if our disciplines will make it out alive, Tyler Austin Harper decides that it was time to attack the Mellon Foundation.

Some of the defendants in the Prairieland case apparently never set foot anywhere near the protest in question.

Just as authorities sought to crush the #StopCopCity movement by randomly indicting people on baseless charges, here they aim to scare people out of acting in solidarity with immigrants.

Pay attention to the Prairieland case.

By saddling the defendants with indiscriminate charges, holding them without bail, and isolating them from lawyers and the public, prosecutors are attempting to terrorize them into signing guilty pleas in order to set a precedent criminalizing dissent itself.

The crackdown on anti-ICE activists in Texas reflects a pattern of intensifying repression all around the country.
