I do think it's worth calling out the bravery of standing up to the dem machine. Putting yourself out there is hard for normal people, it's part of why so many politicians are sociopaths. They're the only people who aren't afraid to stick their necks out like that
Daw - look at her!

I'm so proud of Katie Wilson and everyone else who wouldn't just let the local Dem establishment/machine automatically give Bruce Harrell a second term. The desire for someone else was palpable and Katie was brave enough to step forward in a strong and focused way. Thank you!

Katie Wilson wins Seattle mayoral race, incumbent Bruce Harrell appears to be preparing to concede

The exciting race for Mayor of Seattle can now be called. With almost no ballots left to count, challenger Katie Wilson has an advantage that incumbent Bruce Harrell cannot overcome.

Right, this event needs $1500 to happen. There are 600 participating bookstores & for most it’s their busiest sales day of the year, or is second only to Indie Bookstore Day / Small Business Saturday.

Editors/publishers, this is a no-brainer of an opportunity for your imprint. Romancelandia: pls RT
I'm gonna be real-real here: Bookstore Romance Day may not happen in 2026. By this time of year, I've usually secured at least a handful of sponsors & their backing helps pay for things like newsletter services & Canva & Zoom & internet, all of which are needed for planning & off-season events.

91 votes separate the candidates. 91!!! (For you kids, that's 24 more than 67). It has never been more important to make sure your vote counted in the Seattle Mayoral election! It's quick and easy to check, and quick and easy to fix if there's an issue! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
HEY! Did you vote for the Mayor of Seattle and think that you're DONE with this election already? Well, I'm here to tell you you're NOT! There's 1,794 ballots from Seattle alone that aren't counted due to signature issues! But good news: you can check and FIX IT if it's you!

Who uses SNAP?

My friend, who works, raising 5 kids, husband bailed and won’t pay child support

My neighbor battling cancer and her life-saving meds are so expensive, she chooses between meds or food

My friend who’s a vet and struggles with mental health issues.

Not one of them chose this.

But…those are state charges. They were never federally charged. Nor could they be even if we win in 2028 because the statute of limitations will have expired. But okay.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

If you step back and look, trump simply decided NOT to fund the SNAP program, which feeds millions of kids, seniors, and ENLISTED FAMILIES, just because he's a sadistic fucking asshole, and 219 gop Representatives and 53 gop Senators just...go along with it.

They're doing the same with the ACA.
