Tim Cook, of Apple, is at this dinner.

The likes of Musk and Schwarzman—sure, that's who they are.

But Cook has been groveling more than strictly necessary.
everlasting shame on all these people

Time is a flat circle and Trump is coming around to the structural problems with America’s private insurance-based system.

Trumpcare = Public Option?
Trump: "THE ONLY HEALTHCARE I'LL SUPPORT OR APPROVE IS SENDING MONEY DIRECTLY BACK TO THE PEOPLE W/ NOTHING GOING TO THE BIG, FAT, RICH INSURANCE COMPANIES, WHO HAVE RIPPED OFF AMERICA LONG ENOUGH. THE PEOPLE WILL BE ALLOWED TO NEGOTIATE & BUY THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, INSURANCE. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!"

The revolving door between politics and profit has corroded trust in government, which is why people believe the system is rigged – because too often, it is.

Here is my plan to tackle corruption and self-dealing in Washington D.C. —>

Other discharge petitions might be more salacious, but it is HUGE news tonight that two Republicans just got the Protect America’s Workforce Act discharge petition to 218 to restore federal workers’ union rights.

Let’s get the job done. ✊
Breaking news: The discharge petition for @golden.house.gov's bipartisan Protect America’s Workforce Act has reached majority support with 218 signatures.

This bill to restore federal workers’ union rights must be brought to a vote in Congress NOW. https://bit.ly/3M6zJAF

I've known Cammie for almost two decades now. She's running for Congress in #NJ11 to succeed Gov.-elect Sherrill. Hate congressional stock trading? She does, too.
Donald Trump’s Administration is fueled by unabashed corruption, while representatives in both parties in Congress continue to enrich themselves through stock trading.

This needs to stop. Period.

Thomas Massie to CNN on the Epstein files: "This vote is gonna be on your record for longer than Trump is gonna be president. And what are you gonna do in 2028 and 2030 when you're in a debate … and they say, 'How can we trust you? You covered up for a pedophile back in 2025.'"

I had the privilege to work with @cammiecroft.bsky.social on Obama’s 2008 campaign & White House. She’s the real deal, with her heart in the right place and a track record of getting shit done.

Check out her campaign and get involved!

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Excited Mamdani won!

I'm less excited about how much the Democratic Party showed its ass waiting to support the guy over some terrible alternatives until the last minute.

Pres Obama: Remember when Ted Kennedy endorsed you just before SUPER TUESDAY in 2008? Little more of that energy please.

The lawyers and intelligence professionals didn't even show up to the House Armed Services Committee briefing today on the U.S strikes on Venezuela. I didn't hear anything to prove otherwise – these strikes are illegal. They are murder. And they should stop immediately.

I usually feel a sense of hope and new beginnings this time of year, because school starts this week. But the national guard in DC is newly armed, and I mostly feel a sense of foreboding.

Being interviewed by Terry Gross ruined all other interviewers for me.

"Well prepared" doesn't even begin to cover it, and she is just so generous in the conversation.

It's like playing tennis with Serena Williams but she only wants to keep the volley going as long as possible.
I love Terry Gross she is a top ten person

Don’t think we need “describe” here. It just kind of…is

Also, let’s remember how those quarters came to be vacant.
Breaking WaPo:

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is living for free in a military home typically reserved for the U.S. Coast Guard's top admiral.

The highly unusual arrangement has raised concern from officials, who describe it as a waste of military resources. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
Kristi Noem is living free of charge in Coast Guard commandant’s home
A DHS spokesman said Noem must live on the military base because she had been “so horribly doxxed and targeted that she is no longer able to safely live in her own apartment.”

The vote on Vermont’s biggest education bill was called before anyone could speak. The speed by which a voice vote was called caught many legislators off guard. No debate. No roll call. Here is my open letter to leadership explaining why that moment demands accountability.

The Vermont House just opened its session one hour late. The morning session was very brief. H.454 (the education reform bill) won't be taken up until late afternoon. Which means they don't have the votes, at least not yet.
