I can't get over the mental imagery of asylum seekers basically being shaken down for their most (likely only) valuable, sentimental possessions. It's the sort of thing that, were it in a film, would seem overly heavy-handed.

At this point it is an axiomatic truth that continuing to support the Labour Party while proclaiming to be left-of-centre or progressive requires completely ignoring both their explicit words and actions. Assess those who continue to do so and their conception of politics accordingly.

Your Party continue to be one of the best arguments out there for joining the Greens. This is yet another shambles from them.

It's really striking how the right and centrists often talk about the left as being obsessed with ideological purity at the cost of "sensible" politics and winning; and yet parts of Labour are celebrating the collapse of their voting base based on, er, ideological purity.
So Wes Streeting allies want him to become Prime Minister - for the Labour Government to tank even faster.
We don't have time to play these silly games - people are suffering now.

I'd say "they're not sending their best", but knowing the state of the Labour party, I'm pretty sure they are.
Surely there are some better arguments on the pro landlordism side of the debate than implying that if a landlord doesn't own the house, the house ceases to exist??
