This is unfair. Kennedy returned moments later with an enormous syringe filled with the blue 10,000 Flushes fluid and administered life-saving aid.

Also, people in town are fighting Wilson’s land grab using innovative structures like permanent real estate cooperatives, which “permanently take land out of the speculative market.”

Was not a fan of the man, personally, but he was so important for representation.
RIP Dick Cheney, an ADHD king. Dude loved starting lots of different wars, but got too distracted to finish any of them. He’s just like me, fr fr.

Journalists are only as good as their sources and we got great sources. Thanks @katebitz.bsky.social
worth noting that @rangemedia.co completely owned this story from the beginning — here’s their report that was only made possible by a citizen journalist going to let us worship and catching the mayor on stage alongside Feucht and Matt Shea in 4k rangemedia.co/nadine-woodw...
'We don’t need to be fighting each other, Amen?' – RANGE Media
Mayor Woodward vehemently denounced Matt Shea in 2019. Last night, Shea prayed for her re-election at a Christian nationalist revival. What changed?

🧵 At RANGE, we love our stats and data. Here’s a bit about Spokane’s Spiciest Candidate Forum, held at The Guardian this weekend:
- 150+ people in attendance
- 5 out of the 6 city council candidates took the Hot Seat
- candidates + RANGE reporter Erin drank over 1 full gallon of milk

There's also a laundry list of people we need to thank for their role in making this spicy dream a sweaty reality! First, Chef Tony Brown, who designed some downright dangerously delicious wings + a delicious menu for the crowd (ft. a potato salad editor @lukebaumgarten.bsky.social is addicted to)

I fear the answer is simple: This is cuck shit.

When institutions like @apnews.com decided journalism should be “objective” — training writers & eds to ignore (or worse, mistrust) their own subjectivity — they were choosing to stop vaccinating against bullshit. /1
The @apnews.com story on the past 24 hours feels like malpractice to me.

I don't understand how this credulous presentation works, journalistically.

Half of these opening four paragraphs is just taking the Trump administration's absurd presentation as fact.

Not sure he has any power left on the contemporary right, but hearing “defund ICE” and “defund DHS” from the lips of Bill Kristol is wild
I can’t believe it and yet here’s the proof.

Anyone know if Natalie or Rachel are still kicking around Spokane?

I’d love to talk to them at length about KEZE Rock 106. I was partial to KZZU the Zoo, myself, but respect.

Couldn’t agree more, @sanders.senate.gov.

Since starting @rangemedia.co, we’ve had two twenty-something colleagues able to buy homes.

I don’t know for sure, but I bet those numbers for would rival all other Spokane newsrooms combined since 2020.

I just saw a different survey that broke housing down by units built, and by that measure, cities like Boise are still way ahead of us, but they aren’t on this list.

That suggests we might be building smarter, not harder (that 12% drop is the 6th biggest rent decline in the US):

It's so glaringly obvious just talking to people what they're looking for from elected leaders right now, but the stats back it up, too. Kitchen table issues are galvanizing, across difference.
Fascinating survey data on the missing Biden voters by Lake Research. The voters who sat out in '24 weren't looking for a centrist or turned off by trans rights. They want a genuine economic populist agenda: take on corporate greed, lower costs, and make the wealthy pay their fair share.
