Musk will then immediately share it with China, of course, where half of all Teslas are made and a third of all Teslas are sold, the single most important market to his company's success, and likely the only country in which Tesla sales have a possibility of growing this year.
Musk Set to Get Access to Top-Secret U.S. Plan for Potential War With China (Gift Article)
Giving Elon Musk access to some of the nation’s most closely guarded military secrets is a major expansion of his role as an adviser to President Trump and highlights his conflicts of interest.

I really wish Dem strategists would just once go on TV and acknowledge that Trump only won by 1.5% and didn't even get a majority before they start with the tiresome "Democrats have completely lost touch with average Americans etc, etc." That's how you think after a landslide loss not a squeaker.

This Paul Weiss capitulation is the most disgraceful action by a major law firm in my lifetime, so appalling that I couldn’t believe it at first.

Any lawyers at that firm—partners or associates—who don’t promptly resign will defile their moral and professional reputations beyond repair.

Just like women, Donald Trump is going to stand as the protector of Canada, Greenland and Panama whether they want it or not.
Rep. Brandon Gill: "Listen, I think that the people of Panama, I think that the people of Greenland, I think that the people of Canada for that matter should be honored that President Trump wants to bring these territories under the American fold."

"The company’s board of directors unanimously urged shareholders to reject the proposal ... and made the case that Costco’s success depends on establishing a racially diverse, inclusive workplace."
When an anti-DEI activist took a swing at Costco, the board hit back
A shareholder proposal is arguing that Costco's diversity, equity and inclusion policies are making the Issaquah-based company susceptible to legal risks.

This "plan" is both absurd and dangerous.
The FDIC is funded through fees assessed to banks based on the level of risk they pose. Abolishing it would save the federal government $0, but it would save banks a boatload. Only downside, of course, is the risk that those banks go belly up and take regular people's money with them. No biggie.
“Trump advisers and officials from his newfound Department of Government Efficiency have, for example, asked whether the president-elect could abolish the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp”

When I lecture about New Deal banking reforms, I note that some of the key measures — like Glass Steagall — were repealed by the right with disastrous results like the 2008 financial meltdown, but ha ha, no one will ever be stupid enough to kill FDIC and bring back the old bank runs.

you can tell that Trump is authentically extremely xenophobic and pushes that stuff down into the staffer class to get it done but isn't authentically transphobic in the same way and the staffer class pushes that stuff up into him instead
Trump's campaign spent tens of millions of dollars running anti-trans "Kamala is for they/them" ads: their biggest ad-market issue by far; 30,000 runs in swing states.

He now says he doesn't "want to get into the bathroom issue." "It's a very small number of people we're talking about"

That's why there's an aggressive effort now to blame "identity politics," it's a retcon because Harris ran exactly the campaign centrists wanted, catering to conservatives, never criticizing Netanyahu, never blaming billionaires or big corporations, the works—just to lose to Old Man Yells at Cloud.
I agree on the centrist point and frankly there are a lot of people out there who are just saying what they need to say to cover their ass and cash a check. It sucks.

The Cheney thing is a clear example of a bad idea that the people who pushed it won’t take responsibility for. They need to
