This Trans Day of Remembrance, I remember Eden Knight. She passed away shortly after I came out in 2023, after being forcibly sent back to Saudi Arabia and detransitioned by her family. The funeral deadnamed and misgendered her. She was given no dignity, only hate.

I think "fake it til' you make it" is genuinely a great bit of advice but people (understandably!) think it means "lie until you've duped everyone" when in reality it's much more "act like you belong here because you actually do and you need to get over yourself"

I'll admit, one of the (many) reasons why it took me so long to come out as a lesbian was the "lesbians are TERFs" myth.
Like, I know it's the biggest crock of bullshit out there, seeing as we're the most trans-positive groups (83% iirc); but, because of it, it made me feel "unworthy" to be one.

The really interesting question about the Times story is who leaked the EHRC guidance document and why. The Government evidence in the GLP's judicial review last week seemed to indicate some weakening of the Government's resolve. It looks as if this is a crude attempt to bully the Government.
