Art is really such a special thing... it's made up of all these little things we love and experience, & all those experiences are what inspire our own styles. Those experiences are yours alone, and they're found through living. That could never be replicated by a machine because they're yours alone.

Copyright is literally the only thing smaller artists have to defend themselves. It’s why we were even able to take on Ai companies for stealing our work before the bigger companies came in. If you understand how to use copyright it can be a powerful defense

Using AI is basically crossing a digital picket line, and treating authors who use it like scabs feels appropriate.
If you care about your rights and the rights of other creatives, you don't use generative AI under any circumstances (marketing, editing, drafting, outlining, artwork, narration, etc.)

Very weird to see writers cheering for A.I. audiobooks. This is the same horrible machine that they want to replace YOU. Audiobook narrators are your peers.

I don't 'refuse to use' AI, I just don't use AI; in the same way that I don't shoplift, or plagiarise other people's books - it requires no effort of will, it's just not something I would think of doing
