Just over a year ago, labour were suspending MPs who voted to scrap the 2 child benefit cap, but now they see there's mileage in getting rid, the cap is suddenly a terrible holdover from the last govt. Their moral compass is a weather vane.

Idea: whining about your taxes in the press comes with a *free* wallet inspection from HMRC just to make sure you're not over paying

it’s funny how when people who own big houses are alive they had nothing to do with its value, but when they die their kids shouldn’t have to pay any inheritance tax because they worked VERY hard all their lives for it

I see exasperated Sensible Moderates complaining that this government has no project, no theory of what it’s doing and no good ideas. I suggest this is because we have for a very long time been hugely rewarding politicians whose key skill is telling *lobby journalists* what they wanted to hear.

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

This Budget is yet another episode in the long running saga of failures to seize opportunities to support Grassroots Music Venues. The Government’s rhetoric on their support for this vital sector is completely undone by the reality of their business rates decision.

Misleading and nasty in equal measure.

UK politics is insane to me because every time I tune in even 1% to keep appraised of what's happening there the headlines are all like "GOVERNMENT MAKES IT ILLEGAL TO WATCH KISSING VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE TO PROTECT WOMEN AND GIRLS" and then in tiny font underneath "NHS budget cut by 75% next year"

Those intro chords and the pyro went so much harder than the rest of the song - Were they grafted from something good? #totp

I find that I can't diss REM, because I recognise how talented they are, but their tracks never seem to resonate with me - And I genuinely feel like I'm missing out as a result #totp

Back in the day, a Cliff Richard calendar was always my xmas gift of choice for my mum.

It was around this time in '98 when I was laughed at in HMV for buying one, whilst wearing a Motorhead T-shirt, leather jeans and Fear Factory hoodie... #totp

This Cardigans track is one of those "time and place tracks" - As soon as I hear it, I can see 19 year old me sat in the passenger seat of my friends shitty blue Nova saloon, trying to make it back from a quick record shop trip to Oxford, before afternoon lessons at Abingdon College started. #totp

Love how we really are back to just doing dynasties. Like who even is this fucking guy beyond the prick offspring of a war criminal? Who gives a single solitary shit about what he thinks?
Well, well, well.

Would you look who it is warning of "doom" if you don't invest in the world's most dangerous financial bubble ever.
