One of the greatest (if not most brief) privileges of my career—landing a position as an officer at the NIH, which ended abruptly for so many of us. There are no harder working, dedicated individuals than my former colleagues at NIDCR. Grateful to have been entrusted to serve. #OralHealthForAll

"The purpose of weaponized metascience is to appear scientific, to adopt the trappings of science in order to discredit science."
It seems clear to me that Trump's goal (or more likely Vought's) is Deutsche Physik:

"the goal is to turn science into a tool of their political and cultural project, dominated by conservative, nationalistic, straight white men. To Make Science Great Again." dhicks.github.io/posts/2025-0...

The 20th Amendment is being ignored by the President, who took an oath to uphold the Constitution.

Every NIH person took an oath to “defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
Conduct yourselves accordingly.

Nothing more insufferable than Covid revisionist history, but here we are.
The grim consequences of the pandemic’s school closures were not anticipated by those in power, writes David Zweig. But they should have been.

Elon Musk has succeeded in spite of the way he treats others, not because of it.

Belittling is not a leadership strategy—it reflects a lack of self-control. Demeaning doesn't get results—it thwarts productivity.

Disrespect for the status quo can be a virtue. Disrespect for people is a vice.

They're also less likely to get hired—and it hasn't improved over time.

Validation is very important to traumatized individuals. Emotionally responsible people will support you and validate how you feel so the individual can become a productive person once again for society.. Invalidation does nothing but further victimize the individual.

PSA: If you need something to eat that’s fast, cheap, delicious, healthy, and requires no cleanup: poke holes in a sweet potato, microwave it for 3 min on a paper towel, flip it over, zap it for 2 more min, split it open and drizzle in some sriracha sauce.

For what it’s worth, some of us who held these roles on a probationary basis were placed on administrative leave on 2/18 with an official termination date of 3/14. Check for our removal from the system after Friday.
Wondering if your PO, SRO, or other NIH official is still at NIH? Tara pointed out this useful search tool. Unfortunately my MIRA PO, who just took over this portfolio in December, is no longer listed. 💔
