We're trying to learn how to balance rough outlining with a need to discover. So far it's been ok! Planning too much had always taken the wind out of our sails, but we have a lot to balance. We're also loose with POV in a ch's 1st draft, but really want to play with POV purpose (new) #PretendPanel

In #JapaneseFolklore there is a #yokai known as fudakaeshi that appears as a typical yurei (or ghost), a semi-transparent woman with long dark hair. This yokai attempts to remove the fuda (protective paper charms) placed at entrances to protect buildings from evil spirits.

I am struggling with feeding myself, tbh, becausw I am difficult to cook for. I'm afraid you cannot help, because the worst aspect of this is that I am basically allergic to most processed food. Even canned and frozen veggies and grocery store meats give me issues. It's exhausting

Not bad! I have managed to keep my momentum re: desired productivity and gotten way more writing done than expected (yay!)

Physically, my sleep and eating habits could be better, but I'm working on it! I've had more help this week, and that's really made a huge difference

Underlying the idea of comps is a way of thinking about writing, that says it's desirable to make your work like other existing works. That the uniqueness you're allowed is a *combination* of other works.

Am I the only one who feels the mentality of comps is similar to that underlying Gen AI use?

First writing session of the year went well!! We edited B1 D3 Ch 3, got 1.5 words into Ch 4, & did some environment research and plotting.

This draft is so different from drafts 1 & 2. It feels more mature & complex, & gives more weight to things that deserved it all along. So pleased!!
