"After my final shift for the week last Thursday, my boss pulled me aside and told me I'd been let go (termination without cause) with severance in lieu of a two week notice. That day job paid for all of my rent, plus most of my expenses. The severance I got will cover most of my rent + expenses for one month, but that's it. And it's a very difficult time to be looking for a job right now (my last big job hunt took almost three months for a minimum wage position). My family has offered to lend me a hand for expenses if I need it, and I'm going to be looking into options like EI and art grants to keep me afloat, but other then that, my monthly income is now almost entirely dependent on my artwork. And it's obviously a very difficult time to be trying to make a living as an independent artist right now." I know it's a pretty rough time (understatement) for a lot of folks right now, but if you're able to give some money to help me out while I'm trying to get through this rut, it'd be greatly appreciated. 1. I have a monthly ko-fi membership (Tip Jar) where you can get occasional private WIP updates for as low as 4$ CAD (about 3$ USD) per month! This is great if you don't have the change for a commission or shop items/shipping but want to pitch in a little bit to me! 2. I have an online shop on the same ko-fi! It has stickers, prints, pins, and keychains of my formline art. US shipping is available and prepaid duties (tariffs, derogatory) are factored into the applicable product shipping cost. Great if you're looking for stocking stuffers this holiday season! 3. I take custom commissions for formline art from time to time! The reason I list this last is because comms take the most physical and mental strain of all these options, and the last thing I want to do is burn myself out when I'm already struggling. Figurine painting won’t ever be my favourite passtime, as I have a notoriously shaky hand, but it’s very relaxing and there were 3 of us chatting and painting. A fairly wholesome evening.

Thankfully, @bsky.app has a setting for that.

- Go to Settings
- Then Accessibility
- Toggle “Require alt text before posting” to the active setting.

Now Bluesky will remind you to add alt text to all of your posts.

Python foundation said no and rejected the grant.

During the pandemic I got so paranoid with not putting my fingers anywhere on my face that when reading I developed a life hack that might have saved Brother Berengar’s life (Name of the rose). Just breathe onto your finger tips, gives them just enough humidity to turn the page.

When you’re so bad at perspectives and architectural drawing that you teach yourself Blender to circumvent it. 😬
An alien looking space port made of cylindrical layers on which a large pole carries a tetraedic shape from which space ships can be launched. The structures are connected with various tubes. This view has a reddish sundown theme to it. Different view of the structures with a large connecting tube in the front. This one has a pinkish-purple colour theme. That time I reimagined London boroughs as #Pokemon
Six colourful doodles of creatures with a borough name above each: a derpy red fish balancing on its tail fin (Haringey), a loopy-eyed teal eel with electricity going through it (Ealing), a fluffy little pink lamb (Lambeth), a yellowy barn owl with big red eyes (Barnet), a very droopy cocker spaniel, its back half body is a slug (Hounslow), and an angry purple ibex with very curly horns (Bexley).
