Remember when we had a 14th amendment? That was awesome. Good times.
Perhaps the most newsworthy bit in the NYT "interview" with Trump: He did tell ICE to go easy on his OWN industry and farms. The latter was pretty clear.

[He goes on to discuss the Korean plant.]

The administration is literally formally and practically saying:

- all it cares about is business owners' profits and

- the amount it cares about Americans' lives is ZERO.
This policy will cause more deaths of vulnerable Americans, like infants and the elderly. Also, it appears to be a violation of the Clean Air Act. This is incredibly foolish.

I can't believe I'm posting this video - but we actually have to have a conversation about the real world implications of America going to war over Greenland.

Let me walk you through it. It doesn't turn out well for us.

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

Anyone not actively involved in impeaching and no other activity should just resign. There is no government until he is gone. Pretending otherwise props up him, not government.

Members of Congress swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. If you’re not filing articles of impeachment against Trump, you ain’t doing your job.
Not to mention that they have a duty to do so. We should at least act as if the Constitution is still in force, and impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors is not really optional if you take your oaths seriously

It's fine to challenge Republicans to join them, and of course you can do a lot more if you have a willing majority. But posing as utterly helpless and without any power to do anything is unhelpful and infuriates people because it's not true, and it's insulting to expect people to believe lies.

Trump DOJ defying clear language of court order. Can I get a consequence? Anyone?
WOW: The DOJ has DELETED an image from its release of the Epstein files that shows photos of Trump in a drawer.

Yesterday, we noted that this image — file 468 — likely slipped through the cracks while officials were attempting to hide materials pertaining to Trump.

Now, it’s gone.

Smoking in basically every public space. No one recycled. Most people didn’t wear seat belts.

My high school had a smoking area. For students!
this is a good reminder of how things that are shitty but have been accepted as normal and inevitable can actually turn out to be abnormal and evitable with some science, time, education and political will

I have said this before and, regrettably, I will have to say it again: we don’t have to live like this. We’ve had meaningful gun control in my lifetime. Not enough, but meaningful. A start.

If you used the plot below to guess when the Federal Assault Weapon Ban expired, you’d get it right.

I know it’s clichéd, but now that my kids are teenagers? Every time I see parents with little kids I’m thinking, “you better savor every minute of this, it will be gone sooner than you think possible.”

I love my kids as teens, but those cute lil munchkins are just…gone.
