Less than a decade ago, “Abolish ICE” was a fringe position. Now it’s the plurality viewpoint. The reason is clear: The more people see what ICE is and does, the more they don’t like it. New at @reason.com reason.com/2026/01/20/a...

This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.

I will be blind for life. I have fractures in my skull that they can't fix. They pulled a piece of plastic the size of a nickel out of my eye. I had shards of metal, glass, and plastic behind my eye and in my skull. They said it was a miracle I survived.

Brooke Rollins: "We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. So there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money."

None of the DoJ people who have been resigning over the last year are squishy liberals. Many likely would have served willingly in a DoJ run by legitimate, lawful conservatives. But this is an unhinged regime of crooks, sycophants, and morons.
Breaking News: Three Minnesota federal prosecutors resigned over the Justice Department’s push to investigate the wife of Renee Good, the woman killed by an ICE agent. The Justice Department sought to examine her supposed ties to activist groups.

This is such an interesting idea. The “ridealong” is such an established genre binding journalism to law enforcement. Great to see @zeteo.com flip this on its head and bind journalism to mutual aid and community care, real “news you can use.”
We did a ride along. Not with law enforcement. But with the Minneapolis residents defending their communities from those very officers.

This was a major initiative from the Biden White House, based in the idea of getting together all the countries with a stake in this crisis. They pressured China to stop precursor chemicals, hit hard at the capital funding for production in Mexico, and funded Narcan in the U.S. It apparently worked.

cbs news is giving us a great natural experiment into what happens to your business if you marginalize your existing consumers to go after a new market that hates your product. interesting strategy
Also tonight: An “exclusive” interview with Kristi Noem in which she’s seen “confronting” some guy being arrested and a tribute to Rubio that turns the Trump giving him a dozen jobs into a good thing, shows off “funny” AI-generated Rubio memes and ends with TD saying, “Marco Rubio we salute you.”
Tonight on the CBS Evening News, the 5-year anniversary of January 6 got 15 seconds of coverage 25 minutes into the show. The only pictures shown: Pardoned “defendants” marching through DC as Dokoupil said Trump accused Dems of “failing to prevent” J6 while “Jeffries accused Trump of “whitewashing.”
