I don’t make this request lightly, but Joanne and Lori literally saved my life. They gave me a place to run to after I suffered a serious DV assault. Now they need help, and I am asking anyone who can do so to please contribute. Thank you.

Will Stancil is defending settler colonists now.
Is Will Stancil being treated as a "lolcow", or is he a mediocre white man who is trying to use his 40k followers to bully women of color who call him out on his bullshit off the internet

(Granted, you might not see the problem with his original statement, given your fondness for genocide apologia)

Oh yeah, speaking of reverse engineering, something I started. Someone, in the midst of posting restoration pictures of a late 90s Trans Am car, posted unscaled top and side view drawings. So I thought it would be fun to scale them and start cloning it in CAD.

One of the things I love about reverse engineering is that to do things right, it's often not enough to just look at the end result, but you need to understand why. "This detail is unusual, what was the designer thinking? What problem were they solving that I don't know about because it worked?"

Had a letter the other day - the hospital I had my GRS consult at was letting me know that they were having to fight with my insurance on even the consult billing.

I'd kinda been putting it out of mind but... yeah. Great reminder. 🥲

ALSO THIS.
It's not only that cis women are positioned as the carer of the two genders, but that they see themselves that way, and that they are better people for being women.

I broke the story yesterday that masked ICE agents (not DOJ) were removing items including a personal computer from the home of Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who shot Renee Good. I have yet to see a single news outlet cover this or an elected official even acknowledge it.
NEW: These are ICE agents removing evidence from the shooter's home. They are not DOJ, they are Jonathan Ross's friends and coworkers, not DOJ.

This agent removing Ross's personal computer was reported yesterday Jan 9 for boxing in a volunteer and telling them "I'll dedicate my next arrest to you"

We are in that 9% (2 of 400,000). Our safety as human beings was at risk. We sold our house at over a $30k loss and paid another $30k to move.
1. The attacks on trans people have become untenable, and many people feel like they can no longer stay in their homes.

Now, this morning, the Movement Advancement Project put hard numbers on it: 9% of transgender people, 400,000 people, have moved states.

I am altersex. And... it's more complicated than that.

This week on Stained Glass Woman, we talk about the Panel Lines I don't have, being born in the wrong century, and what it's like to live without the words to describe who you even are.

It's a lot.

I feel like people don't want to think about how so much of the way we (trans people) talk and think about ourselves is biased to fit into a medicalization and gender essentialist framework and or for cis comfort. Where we have to start out justifying wanting to change our bodies.

It's limiting.

A friend commented that disassociation is dysphoria, or at least a presentation of it. Well, how I experience it.

Working on trying to accept that with one thing and another, I'm going to have to cope with some of the more dysphoric bits of my body... "indefinitely" sounds final, but is true.

If you're the parent of a trans kid, it is now your responsibility to find out how to obtain HRT for your child. You didn't sign up to be a criminal, but when the state criminalizes your child, it's your job to stand up and put yourself on the line for them

OK. OK.

Fundamentally... taking a step back and figuring out what needs to happen vis a vis support and everything else. Because my life does have a lot of moving parts.

I don't... I don't know if I'll ever be able to actually swing this. I don't _know_. I can't count on it.
Ha ha ha yay, that's "the subset of insurance plans that are available to me for secondary don't have surgeons that perform bottom surgery in network" 🙃

Between that and recovery looking unrealistic... just writing this off for 2026 at least.

If you think there is a giant conspiracy between the UK government, corporate media, and a handful of well-funded genitally-obsessed bigots to segregate and eliminate trans people from society, that's because there is.
Remember when Kemi Badenoch also boasted about hor the Tories packed the EHRC to stack policy-making institutions against trans people!? 😖

It sounds like a conspiracy theory, but it’s actually the malevolent scheming of a handful of bigots! 😩
