Incredibly, bottom trawl fishing is not banned in all or even most UK Marine "Protected" Areas - nor is oil or gas drilling. And yet, look what happens when marine creatures are given places where they're properly protected from these destructive practices 👇🏾 🐬🐳 @oceanauk.bsky.social
Life is returning all along our Sussex shore .. from kelp to dolphins .. and all because the destructive trawl fishing was banned in our inshore waters less than 4 years ago!!!

There is a story to tell here that counters the lies and obscurantism of Farage and co. But if most voters don't hear it, how can we hope to defend or speed the transition?

Ed Davey is absolutely right. Putin, Musk, Trump, and Vance have formed a new fascist axis. The UK and the EU must cooperate to rapidly gain military independence from the USA. The future of Ukraine and of democracy will depend on our joint efforts.
Of all the things Elon Musk has said, this is the worst.

We cannot rely on Trump and his shadow president Musk. The UK must boost defence spending and take the lead in Europe.

SOLIDARITY WITH UKRAINE
February 22nd London.

This is getting far too little attention. We must stand with Ukraine and raise our voices in defence of democracy.

If we don't act, then in just a few years' time, democracy, freedom, and human rights will be dead. It's as simple as that.

”To start, Europe must rid itself of the dangerous illusion that it is weak—and stop acting like it.

There is no trade-off between investing in the defence of Europe as a whole and investing in the defence of Ukraine—they are one and the same.”
Now is the time for Europe to show strength, not division, argues Sanna Marin
