Today is the one day of the year that I am reminded that my current TV setup does not give me access to Animal Planet.
Don't get me wrong, I'm going to watch the game. But Puppy Bowl was always my preferred Pre-Game/Halftime entertainment.

Part of the MMPB's greatness was that it was a format for the common human. You might find one in the pocket of a high school dropout, in a middle-class schoolteacher's purse, in a box in a millionaire's attic. A little kid and someone in a nursing home might be reading the same romance or western.

This is one of those true things that absolutely melts my brain whenever I try to think of it.
Like, I get it. I understand the logic behind it.
But also? Trying to conceive of that much Time and Space just crushes me. ("You may think it's a long walk to the chemist....")

You know that thing where the farther something is, the smaller it looks? That doesn’t quite work in an expanding universe. It’s true for a while but after a certain point, more distant things (of the same size) start to look BIGGER because their light has been traveling since the cosmos was small 🙃
