I realized yesterday that there wasn’t a point in discovering the why tho bc it’s not like I can change who I am, or who they are. I’m a teacher, an artist, & a storyteller. I was born into a family where most ppl are none of those things. Unfortunately this means I often stand alone, misunderstood.

Talking openly about my chronic illness & disability on my personal social media has caused a great deal of estrangement from many family members & some friends, but I do it bc when I got my AS dx I was suddenly flooded w memories of stories shared by others & those helped get me thru. 1/2
