I'll say it again: how can you NOT love this man? A scholar and a gentleman.
In an unforgettable Veterans Day moment, former President Barack Obama surprised dozens of Korean and Vietnam War veterans as their Honor Flight landed in Washington, D.C. The veterans, fresh off their flight from Madison, Wisconsin, were greeted by President Obama himself.

The first thing I look at when considering a new product for work is the team, the board, etc. Diversity is important. It informs every aspect of what I do. Companies still aren't getting it.

It snowed at my house last night, and I left the faucets dripping due to the freeze. 75 on Saturday sounds accurate.
Welcome to NC. Our weather is wonky as all get out.

Local mountains around Asheville as seen from my street have a dusting of snow this AM. The farther away & higher elevation ones up towards Tennessee I can't get a good picture of, but they're covered in white.
I like to think of this just as a winter "preview", since Saturday it may be close to 70

These are the REAL gatekeepers.
Not agents, many of whom are juggling multiple jobs so they can eat. Not random "influencers" with their arbitrary rules that are easy to disregard.
But those who insist you have to pay to play that discourage talented writers with little money to give it up.

No, Substack "influencer." A developmental editor is not an "investment" in my traditional writing career. It is an expense many writers can't afford.
But thanks for letting me unlock that one free post. It convinced me to unfollow you because I'm obviously not your target audience.

this is definitely the optimal use case for Bernie Sanders
Sanders: Let’s be clear… If this vote succeeds, over 20 million Americans are going to see at least a doubling in their premiums… if resolution is passed tonight, we are on a path way to throw 15 million Americans off of medicaid and the affordable care act, 15 million.

Call you senators. Many of us don't have an alternative if we lose our subsidies.
FWIW, this deal isn’t finalized yet.
If you want Democrats to keep fighting, call your Senator.
The vote to advance the bill will likely succeed, but all that does is tee up a final up/down vote.

His "concept" of a Healthcare Plan is finally revealed. It involves eliminating the Insurance Industry & people purchasing their OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE. Unrelated, note his obsessive envy of Obama, historically rated 1 of our finest presidents, who he still believes was born in Kenya.
