Thrilled to see so many tabletop gaming folks joining Bluesky!

I'm Katrina, and I've been working in TTRPGs and board games since 2013! Most of my time has been full-time at Fantasy Flight Games and Asmodee, but I've also freelanced for Cubicle 7 and written tie-in fiction for Aconyte Books.

Part of the way social media makes people crazy is notifying them of every single damn thing. Turn it all off. Look at the site when you want to. Never, ever allow it to make your phone make noise. Nothing that important is going to happen here.
I turn of all notifications for literally every damn app. My phone only rings out loud if it's someone who's in my phone book and it only beeps at me if I set an alarm or a loved one is texting.
This is a good thread to read. I will only add that I do not get ANY social-media notifications or news alerts on my phone and it is a foundational building block of my sanity that no nonhuman entity, not even Bluesky, gets to initiate conversations with me.

The list of my favorite apps, tabletop games, books, TV and movies, and video games from the last year is shorter than in previous years, but perhaps you’ll find something to inspire you as you pursue those 2026 goals and resolutions. katrinaostrander.com/media-favorites-of-2025/
