If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Successive UK government's have shown they have no flair at all for governance but a genius for self-advancement. Again, what do we need them for?

What you are seeing is a co-ordinated effort by every single member of the Billionaire Media across the Western World, trying to get you to blame immigrants, so you don't blame billionaires.

Don't be fooled.

I’ve read and admired Mick Herron’s unmatchable ‘Slow Horses’ novels for years, and now I’m re-bingeing them on tv. The characterisation of Jackson Lamb and the others is as good as anything in British spy/crime fiction since the days of Conan Doyle.

This. Sadly too many people won't believe it until it's too late.
So you get rid of all the migrants, then what? You really think the government is gonna magically fix your public services? Your landlord is gonna stop ripping you off? Your boss is gonna pay you a fair wage? You live in capitalism & you're really mad at the people at the bottom?

Let's keep it simple:

Do we need doctors? Yes

Is this a job any of us can do? No

Is it a highly skilled job requiring rigorous training? Yes

Should we pay doctors fairly? Yes

Should we also pay other workers fairly? Hell yes.

It's not a race to the bottom.

Stumbled upon this piece. Isn’t it lovely?

Once sat opposite Miriam Margolyes in a Soho tea room. She managed to persuade me she was my Mum’s friend from church & that they arranged flowers together.

Five billionaires control news in the UK: a barrier to truth, they distract us with hate & pollute national debate on dozens of issues to maintain their own power.

This isn't a 'free press' - it's suppression, propaganda & coercion, enabling our oppression.

"I think she could cry out of one eye if she wanted"

*all the journalists giggled*

That was very funny AND clever and sensible they agreed. Tittering at the bad First Minister they don't like.

Which was VERY different to nice but sad chancellor who we should actually feel sorry for and respect

If western politicians and media had done their jobs, Glastonbury performances wouldn't be determining the news cycle right now

Watch as ministers and commentators blame musicians and crowds without taking a single bit of accountability. People are furious and it's their fault.

The conditions that have led to what’s happening in the US today exist in democracies around the world.
They are an inevitable outcome of our collective failure to adapt to fundamental changes in the information ecosystem on which our democracies were originally built.

Most Scottish Gaelic surnames have also been anglicised.
It's not really the main issue with the Kneecap charge but his name is not Liam O'Hanna, it's Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh. You don't rename Rishi Sunak as Rishi Sunwell, you can't just anglicise things because they're Irish.

If Scotland and Wales were hugely important for the Labour party then they wouldn't be doing any of the things they are doing.

It's pure fiction.
It might just be that Luke Akehurst and John Rintoul don't care what happens in Scotland and Wales but they're both hugely important places for the Labour Party at Westminster as well as in devolved elections.

I won’t be ‘celebrating’ VE 80 today, as today is a stark reminder that everything our grandparents died for, is disappearing and is rapidly being forgotten.
Performative patriotism is not for me.
Quiet reflection to give thanks is my preference.
