Cannot believe we are living through the collapse of the American experiment. Really thought we’d have another couple hundred years.

Corporations can’t do this forever, and even in the short term, in the background they will be making economies out of necessity.

One of the first things to go when this happens is the R&D budget.

Tesla is going to fall further and further behind.
Tesla’s profits in Q4 2025 should be horrible, in light of its year-end pumps in many regions. Taiwan is a good example: December Tesla deliveries were 5,547 units (+190% YoY), and made up 64% of Tesla’s full-year sales in Taiwan during 2025, after being down 18% YTD through November 2025.
Tesla's Q4 is Way Worse Than the Headlines
Tesla rammed through tons of cheap Model Ys in Asia and Europe during the last 2 months of 2025. Profit margins in Q4 2025 and this year should be razor-thin to negative.

Excellent bit of journalism to avoid mentioning that there are now 12 more private schools than there were in 2024.

To my great disappointment, my oldest friend got a Tesla last month on contract - but he did get it knocked down by a massive amount.

However, for the record, I’d rather walk everywhere - forever - than have a Tesla.

Russia is using an army of bots to inflate support for Nigel Farage and Reform.

Farage and Reform are traitors to everything English and British.

Fortunate Son was also the title of the autobiography by Lewis Burwell Puller, son of Lt Gen Chesty Puller, who followed his father and became a USMC officer, in Vietnam. He served 3.5 months before losing both legs and his left hand to a booby trap.
He took his own life in 1994.

Context matters.

I can't fix the world. I can't control the chaos.

But I can fix my friend's brakes at cost, using Raybestos ($60) vs Honda ($240) parts.

And sometimes, doing what we can is what we must do.

*All* dependencies, starting with armaments, followed by tech
I wrote this only last week, after saying that Trump seems about to wage war on Venezuela. It seems pretty relevant to what transpired today.

UK and Europe *must* reduce our dependence on America and its technologies as rapidly as we can.
