2025 has been a great year for our Friends …

The John Martin oak in Richmond Park

Painted 200 years ago, the tree is now 500 years old but still recognisable. You can find it here:

This is a photo of London’s oldest tree - the Totteridge yew

Thought to be living when Jesus was born means it can also claim to be literally London’s first Christmas tree

A #treetrail is both:

a lovely way to #learnabouttrees
AND
a great way to find Friends

Is there a tree trail in your local park? ticl.me

‘When you know enough to put it all together.
Then add trees’
During the Napoleonic wars. A year before Napoleon’s retreat from Moscow in 1812
2 years before 1814 when the British burned down The White House.
3 years before the battle of Waterloo in 1815.
HISTORY IS FUCKING ACE!
When you know enough to put it all together.
Then add trees.

Primrose Hill certainly gives one of the finest views of London …

I’ve made a TiCL View #toposcope of it. The ‘Direct Me’ feature of the App points out some of the significant landmarks

You can see which landmarks, and pick up the app (for iOS and Android) here:
