I couldn't find a napari plug-in to open all file formats using Bioio. So I made one : pypi.org/project/napa...

Feel free to use it and suggest improvements 🎉

This summer, we are running a one-week intensive workshop on Python-based BioImage Analysis.
Are there better ways to spend 6 days in mid-July in Boston?Probably.
Would you learn as much as you will here? Probably not.

We just released and uploaded a new version of *Mastodon*, the large-scale tracking and track-editing framework for large, multi-view images.

Mastodon is available via Fiji, via a dedicated update site.

Finally had a bit of time to play with multi-GPU deconvolution. Using @truenorth-ia.bsky.social and @haesleinhuepf.bsky.social previous work.

Here it is in action in #BigDataViewer using async and lazy processing. Look at the two poor laptop GPUs going as fast as they can:

Core facility microscopists assemble!
I created a starter pack for Imaging Scientists that work in core facilities.

I'm sure I missed lots of people since I searched for those that have "core" or "facility" in their bios, so let me know who else should be added!

On Windows there is the ColourSimulator App which allows you to simulate on your screen with a slidable window to inspect design or images to check if those are inclusive for color deficient vision.
The #biovoxxel LUT Channels Tool provides a related functionality.

Why #BigDataViewer loves multi-resolution (pyramidal) formats:
- Top left: Only high-res data → slow & artifacts when zoomed out.
- Top right: Only low-res data → no details when zoomed in.
- Bottom: All resolutions → seamless, responsive, beautiful. 🎥
