Wait, wait, wait, so the drugs that help people (myself included) with mental illnesses are the problem? Explain to me in what world that makes sense.

As always, the guns are the problem, neo-Nazism is the problem, people being untreated for mental illness is the problem. Let’s be smart here.
RFK Jr on the mass shooting in Minnesota: "We're launching studies on the potential contribution of some of the SSRI drugs and some of the other psychiatric drugs that might be contributing to violence."

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

The biggest divide is not between “right” and “left."

It’s between democracy and oligarchy.

The billionaires who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see that they have all the wealth and power.

I have a feeling that promoting my debut novel would be a lot easier if I was “cool”. I haven’t really started yet and I know it’s going to be an additional challenge. Nothing I’m not up for! Being “uncool” is something I have a looooot of experience with ;)

Want to help your favorite authors? There are lots of ways!
--buy the book
--borrow the book
--talk about the book to friends, booksellers, librarians
--REVIEW THE BOOK! Even as simple as "I loved it!" is helpful on sites like Amazon (has to do with the algorithm, which is beyond me...) #BookSky

Etymology of the day: spiders were once known as ‘attercops’, or ‘poison-heads’, because it was believed most spiders were venomous. The ‘cop’ element became the ‘cob’ in ‘cobweb’.

I expect that consumer-facing AI programs will continue to improve and they may become much more useful tools for everyday life in the future.

But I think it was a disastrous mistake that today’s models were taught to be convincing before they were taught to be right.
