❤️🧡💛💚💙 The traditional Canal Parade marked the end of Pride 2025 this past Saturday. Eighty boats took part, with number 72 proudly representing our Institute. We believe that an inclusive organization, where you can be yourself, is the foundation for strong collaboration and excellent research.

Nothing like a little animal facility trip for injections with @claudiadepaulis.bsky.social and team to break from grant reviews 😍! I don’t do much experiments anymore, but it’s nice to feel useful sometimes 😂😂

My blue sky mindset as very busy times are keeping me from seeing it much (both the sky and kid!). Hard trade off of being a scientist,-something life is really just about research, and that’s ok, as long as it’s not too long :)

A beautiful article about writing, which also advocates against the use of LLM when learning academic writing

Dear community, we are actively looking for the mouse 344SQ lung adenocarcinoma cell line (129sv background) ?
We would also be interested in any other mouse tumor cell line in this background (129sv).
Highly appreciated !
Thank you in advance

Huge congrats my friend. This is so cool- extracellular cleaving of peptides as a nutrient backup??? So so cool. Life lesson from this study- cooperate/collaborate to thrive :) Wonder what macrophages do in this whole process… also love how the paper is written, a tour de force! Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤩🤩
First: I apologize for never coming here and now doing so only to brag 😬
Second: I am very proud of the people in our lab. We are a small group in a Bio department and this work took an enormous amount of effort from every one here.

Cooperative nutrient scavenging is an evolutionary advantage in cancer
Nature - Nutrient-starved tumour cells cooperate by secreting aminopeptidases that digest oligopeptides in the microenvironment, creating a shared pool of free amino acids.
