It’s almost always someone who doesn’t understand that the First Amendment only applies to Government actions and laws and really means that they don’t want to be held accountable by anybody for the consequences of their speech or the actions that accompany it.
Can we talk a bit about the terms “First Amendment absolutist” and “free speech absolutist,” and whether they have any agreed-upon meaning?

There’s a lot to investigate and report on from today’s stunning deposition of Les Wexner. But here’s something I can’t get over.
I asked Mr. Wexner if the DOJ or FBI ever contacted him to ask him about Epstein and his crimes. He said NO. That’s outrageous and unforgivable.

When you agree to pass 5 of 6 appropriations bills, then you later agree to pass funding for everything that is in the 6th bill except for one agency (ICE) that has already been prefunded in a previous bill, you are giving up every bit of leverage you have and selling out.

If Dem senators vote to extend the DHS CR again, they are instantly going to lose a tremendous amount of support from their base who have been in wait-and-see mode on this. I can only assume Dem senators considering this have completely lost touch with their voters. Don’t do it.
