Australia's Heart Foundation just launched an info campaign on the harms of COVID to cardiovascular health - good to see!

But current vaccines only reduce risk of heart damage, they do not eliminate it. We need masking, clean indoor air, better prevention & next gen vaccines

Canada: If you’re going to cut foreign aid, at least be honest about it
It is a moral failure dressed up as fiscal responsibility. If we take away the abstract language and political doublespeak, Canadians may find the human cost of these cuts too

Public healthcare is not going to survive without public oversight.

There's no reason for it. Just that the public that benefits from it isn't allowed to see what goes on under the hood. We're prevented from looking out for our own interests by people who insist they're entitled to do it for us.
Canada’s doctor shortage is no accident
It was policy.

Buried in the Big Beautiful Bill were changes to food assistance that demanded “any future change be cost-neutral. Translation: no more benefit increases, even if food prices skyrocket.”

The result was “institutionalized hunger.”
