"All I need is a reindeer..." The Grinch looked around. But, since reindeer are scarce, there was none to be found. Did that stop the old Grinch? No! The Grinch simply said, "If I can't find a reindeer, I'll make one instead!" So he called his dog, Max. Then he took some red thread, And he tied a big horn on the top of his head. Max: a Tyranid Termagant painted in shades of brown to look like Max the dog. He has a giant set of antlers stuck on top of his head, and has a festively painted red and green fleshborer. The inspiration: a still from the 1966 movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" showing the Grinch cutting some of the antler off Max's head with a chainsword, er, handsaw so it's not so heavy. An Adept Minoris of the Divisio Psychologicus, dressed in seasonal robes, visits Oldgate down in the Necromunda Underhive.

Page one of a four-page comic featuring the mini painted for this month’s challenge - A low-ranking member of the Adeptus Mechanicus, dressed in hooded red robes with a green sash and a red, green, and white braided collar. His mechanical body is burnished bronze and gold. This Christmas Cog-Boy questions the seasonal disappearance of the citizens of Oldgate and we see him tour the empty marketplace, have a reflective seasonal moment, and then set off on a quest. As a member of the Divisio Psychologicus, he is duty-bound to investigate matters of social interest. Page two sees our cog-boy discover the source of the mysterious music. It’s the annual End of Year show by Blind Phelynx! It is being held in the graffiti-filled alleyway we saw last month! There are lights and shouts and music and our little mechanical explorer can’t believe it. Then he meets BOB, the drummer! AMAZING!! On page three we discover that BOB has invited our little mech up on stage and he has the time of his life with the band. Luckily he’s wearing his seasonal robes! All the band members’ names are listed among the sound effects and our cog-boy cannot believe his luck. Then he sees a vicious fight break out as a Goliath gang gatecrashes the show. Page four shows the cog-boy pictured next to his saviour, an Escher ganger with a Mohawk and a big sword. She invites him clubbing! And then he wakes up in the middle of a stinking trash heap… Our story ends with our cog-boy running as fast as his mechanical legs can carry him, away from another group of Goliath gangers.

Just finished VTM B2. Really enjoyed it, loved Fabien (all timer game character for me). Story is great fun and some nice twisty turn bits, and one bit which was incidental but had me having to turn off and have a think. Some nice Easter eggs for old people who played vtmb1 too much as well!

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

So, Christmas to Christmas this year I read 53 books. History and SFF generally, and with finishing Horus Heresy and re-reading Dresden Files I’m conscious it’s been a bit chap-heavy (much as I’ve enjoyed it). Try and do better next year!

So last week I thought it time to resurrect the #ChallengedCup as the winless teams from URC & Top14 were playing each other.

Dragons duly lost to Perpignan but this week they beat Lyon.

So the #ChallengedCup now resides in the Top14 and next weekend is contested by Lyon at home to Toulouse!!

He isn't "losing" this money. This is called "paying tax like a responsible citizen and not hiding your money offshore" and we need to start recognising and applauding it.
