I really like the Perilous Courts series by Tavia Lark. The Necromancer's Light by her is also good--very angsty opposites attract mm fantasy romance.

The Cat Lady Chronicles by Helen Harper (haven't read book 3 yet)
Crossroads Queens by Anabel Chase (only read through book 6)

Both UF with older, complex heroines that I like.

In the midst of a KU binge before I cancel. Using the free 3 months to give some authors page turns but also for me, voracious book+ a day reader.

Any and all recs for fantasy romance, PNR, SFR appreciated.

I'll be frank. I'm looking for books that won't tweak my MAGA radar.

Any “deal” that ends with Dems just getting a pinky promise in return is a mistake.

The American people are suffering because Republicans refuse to stop healthcare costs from skyrocketing. An agreement that doesn’t fix that reality falls massively short.

A friend recently told me food banks don't often get or give out seasonings/spices, so when I went shopping for the community fridge today I picked up a couple containers of iodized salt. There was a woman taking things as I dropped mine off, so she helped me unpack and asked if she could have one.

It is disgusting that Republicans CHOSE to let SNAP benefits run out today—letting millions of kids and families go hungry for political leverage.  The courts have made it clear that USDA must fund SNAP for November.

Doing a KU reading binge.

I read every day.
I read a lot every day.

The reading streak metrics often miss days. I sync. I leave it on wifi. And there are day it just doesn't capture.

I don't care.

Except it just makes me doubt it's capturing KU pages read.

ICE are the bad guys.

There's no way to be proud that they scare children.
“.. Andrea Soria, whose daughter plays at Luna y Cielo, overheard her 6-year-old whisper to her dolls: ‘We have to be good or ICE will get us.’”

There has never been any doubt about the lack of imagination
Been seeing some accusations of DnD going 'woke'.

DnD...

The game YOU imagine into being...

The game where the entire draw for most people is that YOU decide what happens...

I'm starting to believe that the biggest issue with right wing reactionaries is a terminal lack of imagination.

yeah and how do you think they get the motivation to do that? sitting around and posting on the internet all day about how much everything sucks doesn’t seem to be very effective

Cleaning out some office stuff—and I'm nowhere near done—found this.

I don't even remember. Did i get a PAN pin? Was there one? I worked hard to get "status" in RWA. And now? I don't know what to do with this pin. I don't regret the work. And the org did help me in meaningful ways.

When we write or draw porn or erotica, we get banned from having a bank account and our livelihoods get seized even if we give it away for free.

When billionaires steal what we've written or drawn to churn out a slop-approximate of porn, they're allowed to charge for it.
Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

If our taxes aren't going to the good of the country and only into the pockets of the grifters, where are all those "libertarians" talking about the constitutionality of taxes?
Trump’s chaos will punish students.

It’s not the billionaires’ kids who will suffer.

It's working families' kids who will fall further behind.
