One of the most interesting aspects of contemporary media discourse is the way that massive popular displays of support for pro-Palestinian and pacifist positions are just ignored by mainstream media. The Gathering for Gaza gig in Melbourne was huge

imploring people to understand every news story about the CFA is a trojan horse for Victorian liberal party bullshit. Is everyone in the CFA a liberal stooge? No, thats a stupid assertion. Is the CFA a fundamentally political organisation of the liberal party? Yes, this is objective fact.

This is not an 'out there' idea & it's not one, we in Australia, should 'gasp in horror' at, or refuse to consider.

Trump is 'lighting fires' everywhere; at home, thieving Venezuela's oil under the pretence that Maduro's the 'criminal', threatening Greenland & destroying trusted peace pacts. (1/2)
Should the EU form a defensive alliance with China?
We're told we have to placate Trump because we need America's protection from Russia. But Europe has other options for deterrence while it builds sovereign defence.

In 2023 I became obsessed with videos of dads in cargo shortswaiting in parking lots during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. So when she came to town, I grabbed a camera and headed down to talk to them. I thought it'd be funny. It turned out to be something else entirely.

I’ve been in game dev for 26 years and I can’t remember any other time where a specific tech was being insistently and persistently pushed on devs as a group in the public sphere.

Why would it? Cui bono? Why would any given dev have an interest in other devs using tech they don’t have a stake in?
My conspiracy theory about genAI in games blowing up more and more by big companies is that they’ve all got a ton of investors insisting they use genAI tools otherwise they(investors) won’t be able to bankroll em anymore

Can we all agree now that conservative politics and most of our political media are filled with grubs? Putting the dead bodies of a terrorist attach through a mincer to make political and clickbait sausages. Sorry - your editors, leaders and advisors told you to? That just makes you a coward on top.
