A bunch of people I know are in the Epstein files and I feel sick. These people were sympathetic to a convicted pedophile. Some even helped him clean up his bad SEO and hide the truth of his crimes. Some of them I’ve taken my kids to their homes and hung out with their families.

There is literally no better example of textbook fascistic thinking than "Who cares about human rights when the rich are doing so very well"
Bondi crashes out over Epstein: "The Dow is over 50,000 dollars! I don't know why you're laughing. You're a great stock trader as I hear, Raskin. The Dow is over 50,000 right now. The S&P at almost 7,000, and the Nasdaq smashing records. That's what we should be talking about."

Fuck Amazon, stop giving them your business.
Republicans’ new tax law decreased Amazon's taxes 87%, while the corporate giant's profits grew.

The company’s U.S. taxes went $9 billion $1.2 billion.

Amazon is also in the process of cutting 30,000 jobs.

The people that work at Palantir are monsters enabling fascism and should be shunned by all decent people in society. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Happening now in Silicon Valley: marchers have surrounded the Palantir building and are holding a prayer vigil for victims of ICE, while video of ICE and Palantir crimes is projected on the building. #abolishice #iceout #palantir #paloalto

I’m not sure we’ve properly addressed how profoundly disturbing it is that America can largely shrug at the stashing of human beings in giant warehouses.

I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.

Bringing natural consequence to people who have abused their power with barbarous corruption and lawless brutality and cruelty and murder is not an extreme position. It shouldn’t even be a position. It should be a given. It should be a requirement of holding office.

The only way it makes sense to fund ICE, is if:

1) You have not heard or read the words directly from the people that command ICE, that they intend to use the force for ethnic cleansing and extra-judicial violence.

2) You have heard and read their words, but you don't believe that they mean it.

Perspective.
74% of Democrats support abolishing ICE, with 53% *strongly* supporting it, according to YouGov polling from last month.

Weak calls for "reform" are coming from *elected* Democrats like Chuck, not the average Democratic voter.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

We don't want "reform", we want ICE abolished and every single person who ordered or participated in their abuses to be prosecuted.

That is the only way forward to healing.

However bad you think the corruption and misconduct at ICE and CBP is — the reality is far far worse.

The problem isn't insufficient training. The murderers of Alex Pretti had many years of experience in their jobs.

The problem is that the gestapo exists at all. ABOLISH ICE & CBP.

We must prosecute every single person involves with ordering or committing their abuses.

/6 Most of the people who normalized Jeffrey Epstein after his conviction are not legally liable for child rape.

But I submit they are morally culpable to some degree.

/5 The people who normalized and promoted Jeffrey Epstein after his conviction sent the message that he was safe now.

Children got raped under the shadow of that message.

/4 How MUCH did it help him rape children that people were sucking up to him, joining social events with him, treating him as a respected philanthropist, normalizing him having lots of social traffic?

I don’t know. But any reasonable person would predict it would have an impact.

/2 Jeffrey Epstein had a greater ability to continue to rape children and facilitate their rape because he was not treated as a pariah. It allowed him to continue to move in elite circles. It gave him contacts and support. It gave him access to people who wanted to be provided with children to rape.

Jeffrey Epstein did not stop raping children after his 2008 conviction. Jeffrey Epstein did not stop facilitating the rape of children after his 2008 conviction. He kept doing it.

That is the context of people treating him as a normal person after his conviction.
