Never forget today, when, on this day in 1988, Zero Cool crashed 1,507 systems in one day.

Interviewer: and how do you explain this gap in your resume?

Me: (trying to explain my time trapped in the faerie realms but a geas prevents me from speaking of it, so I'm forced to just spout gibberish instead) I was growth-hacking my personal brand to leverage my core competencies

Emoji reactions are NOT a response to a question (unless it's a poll).

Reacting with  doesn't count.

You can type those three letters. I believe in you.

I wasn't aware there were that many scientists working on AWS Billing
My wife walked past my screen and lost it at the (completely accidental! I swear!) positioning of layered windows on my screen.

I joked with my friends that if serverless means managed servers, then I'm a catless cat person. I enjoy petting cats fully managed by my friends, with zero operational overhead. I get observability through the pictures they send. I buy gifts and treats when I visit—so it's just usage-based billing.

Instead of "Groups A and B just never talk to each other", I'm working on saying "what happens if groups A and B don't talk to each other?"

Now I'm not speaking in absolutes, I'm not overgeneralizing, I'm rather talking about a hypothetical and *specific* instance, and discussing that

Much better!

Watching Star Trek Discovery and it raises an important question - how do you design a staff database that accounts for the fact that someone has traveled in time without them showing as 900 years old in normal use?

My boyfriend for some reason was not very interested in this conversation.
