There's a orthodox church near me that has recently been caught in some antisemitic bullshit. Read below both what happened and their blame shifting. Fuck them in particular for acting like it's just a misunderstanding of their culture. If you're caught being shitty people, at least own up to it.

This is a good thread and/but it’s worth noting that “populist” aspiring authoritarians also come to power railing against corrupt elites. And sometimes it takes a bit for society to understand “wait they are describing themselves”
If Orban loses it shows this sort of takeover isn’t permanent: the opposition can scrabble back. Peter Magyar and Tisza provide one example of how. Magyar is youngish, good-looking, centrist and indefatigable. His assault on Orban and Fidesz isn’t about ideology. It’s about corruption. 2/12
