One thing I would be fascinated to see is a pollster splitting the sample 50/50 and asking the first half to provide a percentage and the second half to provide a "one in ____" figure to see how well they line up.
It's not the hysteria it's something much dumber: 20% is the lowest percentage americans will say on a demographic survey
