The truth seems obvious to anyone willing to open their eyes. Trump has decided that whatever the files contain is more damaging to him than the political cost of keeping them under wraps as the country clamors for their release. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/for-...
For Trump, the Epstein Cover-Up Beats the Truth
As one of her first acts as Attorney General, Pam Bondi wrote a letter to the new head of the FBI, Kash Patel, demanding that the “full and complete Epstein files” be delivered to her office by the ne...

Overnight the President ordered the invasion of Venezuela and capture of its President. While Maduro clearly is a corrupt and illegitimate thug who oversaw the destabilization and suffering of millions, the fact remains that the U.S. President is acting on authority he does not have. ⬇️

In the long list of ignored warnings, this statement by Fiona Hill from 2019(!) deserves our attention (& shame). She explicitly describes Putin's 'Venezuela Swap' with Trump, for Ukraine. Putin's cries for his pall Maduro are as fake as Trump's care for the innocent people of Ukraine (& elsewhere).

What makes the regime-change operation in Venezuela morally worse than a typical regime change is that Trump doesn’t even plan to give the Venezuelan people a chance for a new leader or democracy.

He just kidnapped Maduro to seize their oil while leaving the regime in place

Trump's illegal acts of war and imperialism against Venezuela show that his threats against Canada, Greenland, Mexico, Gaza, and the Panama Canal should be taken seriously.

The US has directly intervened militarily in central/south America - Panama '89 the obvious parallel.

However, Venezuela is different. This is explicitly about seizing overseas assets, oil, and in the context of expressed imperialism. See Greenland and lest we forget Canada. And, indeed, Ukraine.

Trump's attack on Venezuela will create global instability.

Will prolong the Ukraine war. How could the US condemn and sanction Russia?

Encourage Putin to kidnap Zelensky.

Encourage China to takeover Taiwan.

What is the point of the UN if rogue powers can do whatever they want?

The President who did this is a Republican. The House majority, Speaker, Senate majority, and Majority Leader who will block his impeachment are Republicans. The Supreme Court judges who will immunize him from legal trouble are Republicans.

And they all laugh when they see you blame Democrats.

The USA pays 27% of UN Peacekeeping costs. Russia pays 3%.

Yet, Trump wants to hammer on NATO countries that they're not contributing enough for a joint force.
