"An essential step in the fascist march to acceptance and power was to persuade law-and-order conservatives and members of the middle class to tolerate fascist violence as a harsh necessity in the face of Left provocation."

Baby, your uncle isn't a conservative. He just doesn't like black people. That's a racist.

I've never heard a story about someone stealing books from a Little Library to sell.

I've heard LOTS of stories about people stealing books from a Little Library to DESTROY them because they didn't like the contents and/or wanted to push fundamentalist Christian books in their place.
I once taught a whole lesson on the narratives of deservedness in the very strange concept of “stealing” books from something conspicuously branded as a “free” little library. The students struggled with it. A lot of internalized beliefs about poverty and worth. But I think it was a good lesson.
If you are concerned about people swiping books from your little free library and reselling those books, I ask you to go to your local used bookstore and sell a book

Okay?

Understand?

Alright, next question

To be clear:

There are only 3600 seconds in an hour.

To hit this goal, the tunnel has to move two cars with three people in each car every SECOND.

In a ONE LANE TUNNEL.

Bullshit.
Wild — Boring Company CEO Steve Davis just made some lofty claims about the NASHVILLE Teslas-only tunnel’s capacity & potential

-20,000 people an hour?
-2 miles under Broadway?
-A tunnel from Nashville to Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Memphis?

No wonder Elon hired this guy.

The fascists don't care if we're getting sick and dying, so long as we don't KNOW we're getting sick and dying.
After two infants died, the Louisiana Dept of Health under the leadership of the new incoming deputy director of the CDC, delayed notifying the public for months of a whooping cough outbreak. Instead, he ordered DOH to stop promoting vaccines. Pertussis is currently a national health crisis.
Louisiana officials waited months to warn public of whooping cough outbreak
After a whooping cough outbreak killed two infants, Louisiana health officials waited months to officially alert physicians or do public outreach. That's not the typical public health response.

I disagree. DOGE was an absolute success.
It succeeded in destroying everything Republicans have hated for decades and every body that regulates businesses of Elon Musk. It also gathered data on Americans.
That was the goal the entire time.
The stated goals were not real. Ever.

The LEAST comradely thing you can do is make it HARDER for the proletariat to survive in a capitalist society.

Quit making the mistake of treating creators as bourgeoisie.
We’re not small business owners, ffs - we’re independent contractors, and we are routinely robbed by the world’s dumbest dingbats.

Did the Republican president talk to Bolsonaro as the Brazilian plotted to escape? Trump said yes, but the White House isn’t so sure.

While I actually agree with the premise of the editorial- public hand air dryers are not just useless but actively unsanitary- I am FAIRLY sure that there are issues before the people just a MITE more IMPORTANT than this...

At this point, the Washpost edit page is just trolling its readers.

I voted for her b/c *DUH* but like many others in the Dem party she's a neolib that courted the right, counting on pragmatic voters to fall in line, instead of courting the actual LEFT.

I'm old enough to remember when places had curtains made out of beer pull tabs.

(I'm also old enough to remember when it wasn't illegal to take a seven year old kid inside those places.)
I am an archaeologist. The federal and state laws that apply to the work I do state that anything more than 50 years old is historic. That means pull tab cans are historic. I drank out of pull tab cans as a kid. Now, I have to record them as historic. It is painful.

The harassment is never going to stop as long as the companies give in. They're going to fire every person of color, everyone in the LGBT community, every woman, and that still won't placate the "trolls." They'll just assign white male employees they don't like the title of "liberal" and keep going.
