hey @cityofsaintpaul.bsky.social I hear you have job openings! my buddy just applied for one & was told he didn't meet minimum qualifications (job req: bachelor's & 2 yrs exp). He has a BS, MBA, + 10 yrs exp. HR told him that an MBA is not a master's degree (he's got that in writing). W T actual F?

the way I will not be giving Amy Klobuchar anymore of my attention beyond this post. that said!

the nearly 60 days of ICE occupation in Minnesota has demonstrated that Amy Klobuchar is not remotely equipped for or interested in any of what is required to meet this moment or its future aftermath.

Pretty easy to add these corporations to my boycott list. HealthPartners is my insurer, but they have never paid once for anything, so it's no problem boycotting them.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

An awful lot of MAPE members are participating on Friday, but nothing official from the union leadership.
Man I really don't want to be the prophet of doom here but:

"Although unions have endorsed the calls for Minnesotans to refuse work, school, and shopping on January 23, no union has agreed to strike yet."

I thought outreach was just bad (I still haven't heard anything from my union) but NO union?
Will ICE ignite a mass strike in Minnesota?
Labor federations have called for a day of protest January 23. The momentum is growing from mass protests and building on long-term organizing.

Just started this book and I don't see myself finishing it today, so my total for 2025 is 71 books.
Along with tracking books next year, I might also keep a log of how many times I make sourdough bread.

Went outside last night (so. mpls) because everyone was raving about northern lights. There was nothing there, nothing anywhere, any of the times I went out. I sort of feel like a flat-earther today.

@schumer.senate.gov I'd have told you yesterday to grow a spine and hold the line, but I knew my efforts would have been wasted. Cannot wait until you're ousted from Democratic leadership. You're a disgrace.

The last couple times I've made sourdough it was just ok. Today it turned out perfect.

One of the questions we don’t hear about the SNAP cut off enough is how we’d let the rich screw an entire civilization over so badly that 42 million didn’t make enough to buy food. Now we try to save them. But the problem remains. A failed system that screws the people while catering to the rich.
