Just started this book and I don't see myself finishing it today, so my total for 2025 is 71 books.
Along with tracking books next year, I might also keep a log of how many times I make sourdough bread.

Went outside last night (so. mpls) because everyone was raving about northern lights. There was nothing there, nothing anywhere, any of the times I went out. I sort of feel like a flat-earther today.

@schumer.senate.gov I'd have told you yesterday to grow a spine and hold the line, but I knew my efforts would have been wasted. Cannot wait until you're ousted from Democratic leadership. You're a disgrace.

The last couple times I've made sourdough it was just ok. Today it turned out perfect.

One of the questions we don’t hear about the SNAP cut off enough is how we’d let the rich screw an entire civilization over so badly that 42 million didn’t make enough to buy food. Now we try to save them. But the problem remains. A failed system that screws the people while catering to the rich.

Study suggests most Americans would be healthier with 'permanent standard time'
Every spring, Americans dutifully adjust their clocks forward to daylight saving time, and every fall, back to standard time—but no one seems very happy about it. The biannual time shift is not only i...

This is what happens when justice serves power instead of people.

Banksy’s latest piece shows a judge beating a protester. They rushed to throw up barriers to hide it.

We need this here because it looks a lot like our own Supreme Court vs. the people.

Got to visit my DiL's bench at the fair today. She doesn't have a grave, so we all trek to one of her favorite places every year. I miss her. It never gets better, it only gets different. 💔

Maybe this sounds familiar:

Bike infrastructure get proposed as part of a street redesign. A small group of confused but VERY vocal individuals begin making a lot of noise about how no one wants this, no one will use this, it will literally cause the sky to fall.

Three-quarters of Americans support bike lanes in their area and nearly half say they increase quality of life | YouGov
Americans are more likely to say bike lanes increase than decrease overall quality of life as well as safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.

Meanwhile in Minneapolis, drivers regularly blast through on River Road (speed limit 20) at 50 mph with zero repercussions. Kids, bikers, dogs, regular human people constantly at risk. @minneapolismn.gov @aurinmpls.bsky.social
A driver faces up to $110,000 for driving 27 km/h (17 mph) over the speed limit on a Swiss street because he can afford it.
