Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Nother reason to hate all these cretins who decide that UAE and Dubai are good holiday destination.
I won't be posting the videos because they are gut wrenching. Yes. The RSF besieged a town in the region where the black minority lives, and now that the town has falled they are mass murdering all black people they can find.

the most important thing to remember when you see eugenicists who don’t believe that autistic people should exist rambling about “the autism epidemic” is not that they’re wrong about the “cause” (although they are absolutely wrong about it); it’s that they are eugenicists

Orwell hated the theatre of moral absolutes that let people excuse cruelty as duty.

“They are only doing their duty” was his warning about bureaucratised violence of the kind being carried about by ICE in the USA and often cheered on by Musk.

My granddad's cousin went to Spain in early '37 to fight the fascists and kept a diary of his experience. One entry read that he'd been shown how to clean his rifle by another, more experienced, Englishman by the name of Eric Blair. So yeah, I think we all know what Orwell would think.
When speaking to Tommy Robinson at the far right demonstration in London today, Elon Musk wore a t-shirt saying "What would Orwell think?"

So let's dive in - what would George Orwell think about Tommy Robinson and Elon Musk? 🧵

If there was any meaning to this obsolete undemocratic and generally terrible concept of monarchy, it would be the king stepping up now and saying that all Nazis should jump of the Dover cliffs and then human rights respecting liberal democracy is the only way forward.

Interesting priorities...

Israel has impressive military, but also a joke of of "justice" and "law enforcement" systems, let alone the tragedy that is human rights there.

I used to support Israel, but now it is just another (very well armed) MENA shithole.

In total 15 died, they claimed on methane, well more likely they were hit by own chloride gases they use frequently but who knows, in any case better to leave Kurdistan
🇮🇶🇹🇷 12 Turkish soldiers have died, with 15+ in very critical conditions, after a failed search operation for a dead Turkish serviceman in northern Iraq. The unit entered a cave that was exposed to methane gas.

The death toll is expected to rise further.

>LEAKLIV:/
🇮🇶🇹🇷 The incident occurred on June 28 (yesterday). In the footage, #Turkish evacuation #helicopters can be seen operating in northern #Iraq.

Gen alpha so cooked they’re gonna need an LLM to write their mass shooter manifestos
AI is deskilling our young people to the extent that they no longer have the ability, or at least resolve, to craft their own *texts.*

The widespread adoption of these technologies is actually a form of child abuse. We are systematically destroying human potential

East Germany is in its current desolate state for two reasons: they elected Nazis who lost the war, and then they ended up in Russia's sphere of influence and Moscow made it into underdeveloped hole without future.

So one would expect people to endorse whomever else than pro-russian Nazis.

Dictatorship and theocracy where only certain people of male gender can vote has it's new head 🥰
Early exit polls suggest the new pope did particularly well with male voters aged 45-79.

One of the biggest victories of the right is that they've managed to nearly completely substitute one's relationship to capital with masculinity as the determinant of class in popular discourse.

Many deem a self-employed electrician to be more working-class than a minimum wage Starbucks employee!
So much of Blue Labour comes down to the desperation of a very bourgeois network of people to signal that they have not betrayed a working class identity that only exists in their imagination

Tak aspoň tak zoširšia: myslím že demokrati by sa nemali upínať k hlave absolutistickej monarchie, ktorá s demokraciou a jej hodnotami nemá nič spoločné.
