WED architect Carl Denney is rarely mentioned in Disney histories. Walt’s personal architect, he usually worked on non-park projects like making improvements to WED’s Glendale facilities and designing Disney’s personal family properties, incl Walt’s Smoke Tree Ranch home and the nearby “WED House.”

I ALWAYS thrift brass elephants. It’s one of my things that I never pass up. Yesterday an older lady at the thrift store told me that an elephant figure with their trunk up is good luck and it’s bonus points if you face them towards a door. I’m not arguing with her logic. 🐘🤞🏻
