Oklahoma receives $18 billion more in federal funds than it gives with 12.2 percent from California. Nearly half of Oklahoma's government revenue is from federal funding. Just say thank you and be on your way, asshole.

Now Nick, we know what you meant by "pick up a hot black coffee" you naughty boy, you.
Of all the things in the history of the world that definitely did not happen - this is the pinnacle.

Then my top two guesses are "Alex Rules" and "in the form of a question."
None of your business, but one of them was after some drinks on the Sunset Strip the night I won on Jeopardy
Ok Tom.
You can’t drop that and not give us the deets.

Let’s see your ink!

This is wisdom.
one of my firmest things is that everyone should be able to do basic cooking, everyone should be able to make eggs, pasta, rice, the basics and everyone should be able to make at least one kinda impressive fancy meal.
So many words used in place of “Cooking is mommy’s jobbb not mineee 🙁🙁“

If you think preparing food + delivery should be crazy cheap you are basically saying “I think this particular labour is worthless“ and it’s most definitely a Gender™️ thing

There is 0.0% chance that we will be fooled by a bs compromise in the senate on DHS funding. Package it, put a bow on it, try to sell it however you want. Not gonna work. If you aren’t sure about that, spend more time in your states with constituents.

This is hardly important in these times, but the Bolt is great little(by US standards) car. GM jut spent millions updating it and retooling the factory they build it in, and now they're flushing that for another nondescript ICE crossover.
Growing up a big bloc of my extended family worked for GM, & holidays would often end up being long conversations about all the ways GM sucked. I’m hard-wired to instantly blame bad things on GM. But this is clearly a result of electing Trump & the nihilistic Republicans in Congress

The storied Washington National Opera decides to leave the Kennedy Center where it has played since 1971, perhaps the most significant artistic rebuke yet to Trump’s campaign to remake the facility in his image and attach his name to it. @adamnagourney.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2026/01/09/a...

Have any Minnesota Republicans made any statements? Like, for instance Tom Emmer, the Majority Whip in the US House of Representatives? Or the Republican Speaker of the Minnesota House or the minority leader of the Minnesota state senate.

GOOD.

She is justifying murder.
I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

OK, fine, but I'll betcha didn't know it would end up being a jaunty tune, now did ya?
TRUTH.

For example, finding an eye-witness account of the Burr-Hamilton duel that seemingly no one else has found…

I didn’t move for hours.

Made it into my dissertation.
Into my first book.
And into the Hamilton musical.

Research, man.
Nothing like putting the pieces together for the first time.
I don't have a specific story at the top of my head, but the experience of picking up a loose piece of paper and realizing when you get to the end of the page that you now know something about the past that literally no other living person knows?

Unbeatable.

I have a scooter. I can walk. I can't, however, walk through 80 miles of airport. I can walk onto an airplane or through hallways. I can't walk the .5 mile to the convention center.

People, get smarter, it's embarrassing at this point.

Children are being exploited. Let’s respond by dramatically hindering our ability to point out or criticize children being exploited, using methods we don’t understand because we’re old and incurious.
Children are being exploited and abused because Big Tech consistently prioritizes profits over people.

Enough is enough. Time to sunset Section 230.

Jeez, I think this nails it.
Honestly, Pritzger could be both guys. Newsom will end up being neither.
A lot will happen between now and then, but my guess is that the ‘28 primary will be a contest between 1) someone who’s been doing the work fighting Trump who can rally the pissed off base, and 2) some telegenic white guy with whom swing voters would hopefully want to drink fermented beverages.
