4. Tightened the rotation. On the second night of a back-to-back, Mike Brown turned to just 3 vets off the bench in Kevin Huerter, Trey Lyles and Doug McDermott. Left out of the group was Keon Ellis and Isaac Jones. The defensive energy of the young duo was missed.

The Rockets are a really good example of how playing really hard and getting after teams on defense can carry you. Their offense can still get really messy, but they get around it by defending and playing harder than the opponent most nights.
