I don't think most Americans realize how hard tariffs are about to hit them. The combination of 1) escalating tariffs, 2) companies slowly passing the cost to consumers, and 3) the repeal of the de minimis exemption in the Big Beautiful Bill, a lot stuff will be more expensive in 2027.

Sundog, a memecoin by crypto billionaire Justin Sun, just posted a meme depicting its mascot controlling the White House. Sun has spent (or will shortly spend) a total of $213 million on Trump-connected crypto projects.

This is bizarre framing since Essex Street Market is not a city run or city owned grocery store. It’s a bunch of private vendors operating on city controlled property gothamist.com/news/zohran-...
Zohran Mamdani is calling for city-owned grocery stores. NYC already has them.
The idea has broad support from progressives, while some critics warn against “radical socialism.” But New York already has city-owned grocery stores.

like look at this shit. newsom is lamenting how its all Just So Complicated, and the complicated thing is “the people i govern say this saved their childs life” vs “another country released a report that has been dunked on by its neighbors, academia, and every major american medical organization”

So... what's Paramount's plan for when Trump gets mad at 60 Minutes next weekend and files another ridiculous lawsuit? Fork over another $16 million? More? Or is there some double super-secret annex in the settlement where he pinky promises not to do that?

These deaths could have been prevented with a strong OSHA heat standard. Will the Trump administration continue to let workers die?
