I love cities.
As someone who lived in Portland and lives in Chicago now, I am CACKLING
- Chicago hates lCE so much they do a solidarity protest every time ICE agents so much as fart in another city

- Portland took a different tactic and did really weird things and it made the fash so deeply uncomfortable that they left

Yes this - take the win, tell stories about the win, use it to get you to the next win.
The people of Minnesota defeated ICE's invasion. Bovino losing his job is an enormous win for the people: it shows others in the regime they could actually face consequences if they alienate enough popular support.

The movement deserves to claim these kinds of huge wins!
Greg Bovino Loses His Job
The Border Patrol chief has been ousted from his role as “commander at large,” and will return to El Centro.

We’re going to this tonight. We keep us safe.
Also, uh, we have more than 100,000 people registered for this ICE watch training tonight. Largest training of it type in history by a long shot. Please join if you've not be trained yet, and share to friends/fam/neighbors!
I recorded this week's newsletter in case you want to watch instead of read. Are we pro or anti Gadsden flag hat? On the one hand, I like reclaiming it. On the other hand, it's hard for me to shake my visceral response to it from the Tea Party days. ezralevin.substack.com/p/how-to-mak...

I used to press t shirts at the Surf Mall on the boardwalk in OCNJ and this guy came in and asked me to make 10 'MAXIMA CREW' t shirts with a Jamaican flag on the back and I seen that shirt 15 years later in a thrift store in Hoboken and bought it. We both had adventures and met up later in life.

Just donated to this fund to bring this little boy home. It’s made me sick to think about this story today-here’s something small we can do.
For those outside the Twin Cities, the person posting this GoFundMe is a member of Minneapolis city council (and among the many locals doing absolutely heroic resistance to ICE), so it's legit.
Please help us bring Liam Adrian Cornejo Ramos (he’s only 5 years of age and is currently in pre-K. Yesterday, he and his father were kidnapped by ICE. This will help the family with legal services to help reunite Liam and his dad with their family.

My mayor. We also have seen a number of emails from the school district about how the DOE is keeping kids and families safe - a big change from communication under Adams.
Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."

I realise I'm just a freak, but living in a multicultural city is the best thing of all time, it's just the best possible human experience and i can not understand why anyone on earth would be like "weve got to destroy this"

We wound up a diner in Long Island today with the NY Post sitting face up on the counter, celebrating Good’s murder. We told the manager it was a horrible thing to have as the face of his diner, so he took it away. I’m sure it went right back, but at least a few people didn’t see that filth.
Hard to find any outlet than more propagandistic about supporting ICE and smearing its victims than the NY Post , owned by an Australian who lives in the UK.

Unbelievably good news.
What we’ve won today will change lives — and it’s just the beginning. We won’t let up until child care is free for all across the state and child care workers are paid fairly as educators.
New: Gov. Hochul is set to propose an expansion of universal pre-K statewide, funding for Mayor Mamdani's 2-Care program and pilots of additional child care expansions in select parts of the state. The pair will be in BK this morning with more details www.cityandstateny.com/policy/2026/...

So angry about this/relieved my kids were born when they were.
It’s official: RFK Jr has officially reduced recommended childhood vaccines from 17 to 11, removing universal vaccine recommendations for RSV, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, dengue and two types of bacterial meningitis.

This reckless contravention of science is going to kill people.
