Playing Phantasy Star II, feeling like there's some lesson in there today vis a vis Mother Brain and AI. They just stopped checking if the AI was correct, and it started creating biomonsters and floods and destroying planets.

I remapped the C button to left trigger because, in Phantasy Star II all you need to do is mash C to win, but the dungeon maps are ridiculous, so I needed the other hand to scroll around a map on my phone.

Do App Store external betas even work? I previously hadn't really tried them, but now I've submitted twice and they've both taken many days to resolve. The first was rejected with a cryptic "this app is too similar to something else", and the second one has been in Waiting for Review for 6 days.

Confirmed: Final Fantasy III's endgame is as sick and sadistic as everyone says it is.

Random battles every 5 steps, no save points across like 4 different dungeons, bosses don't have much HP but it's game over if you don't beat them within three turns.

Sometimes, it's the little things that make a big difference. I forgot that Expo Launch would automatically invite my App Store Connect team to Testflight, was pleasantly surprised by this email ("oh yeah... it does _that_!"). Going from zero to this all inside a web browser is pretty rad!
