"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command... and if all others accepted the lie, which the party imposed, if all records told the same tale, then the lie passed into history and became truth."
SEEING IS BELIEVING

DHS claims the car being chased rammed the ICE vehicle. The video shows the opposite.

📌 A father and son, a US citizen, are chased. The teen is beaten and seriously injured. The father is deported.

DHS lied. The video tells the truth. Excellent reporting by Antonia Hylton.

...which I'm fairly sure is a more serious offense than illegal entry or visa overstay
Breaking WaPo:

The recent death of a detainee at an immigrant detention camp in Texas has been officially deemed a homicide, according to an autopsy report released Wednesday by the El Paso County Office of the Medical Examiner.
Autopsy report classifies ICE detainee’s death as a homicide
The report deeming an ICE detainee’s death in Texas a homicide comes the same day that a federal judge temporarily barred the deportation of two witnesses.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

I am EXTREMELY grateful that the adults that run other countries (in my case, Hong Kong) have not responded in kind to Americans living in their territory.
the "americans will be pariahs when they travel!!" discourse is so funny. 1) we deserve it, 2) people in other countries (excluding, say, large parts of Iraq) are in reality pretty chill about americans, great satan or no

Vaguely recall Republicans absolutely losing their shit over the (misleading to false) claim that the IRS in the Obama era targeted conservative non-profits for audits based on their ideology.

I'm sure every one of those people is speaking out in support of Mischief Toy Store or...?
Mischief Toy Store in St. Paul has until Wednesday to turn over employment records to the Department of Homeland Security as part of a surprise audit launched Friday, just hours after one of the shop's owners criticized ICE agents during a television interview. bit.ly/4r5AFol

Honestly, every time Trump talks it’s like someone asked him for a synopsis of a tv show and he responds with a narrative he’s completely made up in his head.
Trump: "They didn't allow the water to come down from the Pacific Northwest. They routed the water into the Pacific Ocean. So we had no water there. No, he had -- I would say open up the water. Open it up to the governor, the mayor. They wouldn't do it. They wanted to protect a tiny little fish."

I just hate the fucking implication that we’ll accept the yoke of tyranny if consumer goods are cheaper
In fact they do

It was installed with concerted effort by a syncretic online (specifically Twitter) coalition responding to every “Trump will be a dictator that takes a torch to the Constitution” with “I CAN’T FUCKING AFFORD MILK” in all caps
DOES EVERY ELECTED DEMOCRAT HAVE A FUCKING BRAIN PARASITE THAT FORCES THEM TO TALK SOLELY ABOUT AFFORDABILITY. FUCK.

Maybe, somewhere, mention the reversal of the current insanity?
NEW: In this interview, Chuck Schumer describes the "five buckets" Dems think are key to their possibly winning a Senate majority in 2026: housing, "the high price of food [and] food monopolies playing a major role there," electricity, "the high cost of childcare," and health care.
Zero Chucks Left to Give
Chuck Schumer now sees a path back to the majority. Can he manage his way through it?

To be clear: at this point, anyone who does not *instantly* treat any discussion of coercion/invasion of Greenland as insanely wrong is enabling potential war crimes and is a traitor to what makes America America.

Period.
The strength of Greenland’s defenses is irrelevant to whether we have any moral or legal right to the territory.

We do not.

And threatening territorial takeover on this rationale is evil.

Thanks, Justice Kavanaugh. What a legacy you will have.
Mubashir and his family came to the United States as refugees from Ethiopia when he was a child, and they all became naturalized citizens in 2019.

Despite being a U.S. citizen, Mubashir was targeted by ICE, assaulted, and detained. Listen to his story:

I’ve been in business for a long time, and there are two kinds of people: those that honor their deals, and those that don’t.

Even amongst the latter, Donald Trump stands out.
