What are the chances of AOC being the next Democratic presidential candidate? An intelligent woman of colour who constantly puts establishment (both D & R) to shame is what the country needs but her chances are likely less that Ley's!

This is brilliant investigative journalism but distressing reading.
Are ASIO investigators equally thorough? These are the foreign interference players we need to be concerned about.
But no mention of Tony Abbott - article should be updated to trace his impact.
So it really matters that these #Auspol figures are networking with some of the more toxic establishment forces in the transnational Right.

Liberals may wish Taylor has what it takes to put lipstick on the Coalition pig. But voters recall the many stumbling bumbling interviews or question time performances and his links to questionable, highly profitable, dealings. Nothing to lift Liberal profile.

Stories are “evaluated not just on their journalistic merit but on whether they conform to a shifting set of ideological expectations.”

So on song - 6 years later!
Ego, self-promotion, the ability to woo colleagues and a talent for the 10-second grab can prove far more decisive than intellect or a glittering CV, and Taylor has struggled to stand out from the pack of ambitious men (and a few women) in their 40s in the Liberal party.
